These reports are based on information provided by a panel of nearly 2,600 golf facilities across the U.S. Responses to monthly surveys vary from 60 to 70 percent. The data is based on "same-store sales," meaning that only facilities that submitted data for both time periods (e.g., both March 2008 and March 2007) are included in the results.

The data is statistically weighted by facility type, size, region and price point to ensure national representativeness of results.
