Technical Marketing Specialist

The National Golf Foundation (NGF) is searching for a Technical Marketing Specialist to work within the sales team and expertly service its clients. The NGF is widely recognized as the industry leader in D2C email and data driven digital marketing. The person selected will set up and track a busy and complex schedule of marketing campaigns for a wide variety of NGF clients. You will need to become an expert in audience selection/technical set-up for clients using a query-based software program and you will have direct involvement in the campaign coordination and delivery of marketing campaigns. The chosen candidate will also help deliver and communicate campaign metrics/results to clients and be involved in some account management and vendor relationship tasks. A high-level of proficiency with multiple web-based software programs is required, so experience with programs and platforms such as Acoustic, Mail Chimp, Klaviyo, StackAdapt, LiveRamp Meta/Facebook, Google Analytics, etc. is essential. Basic knowledge of HTML design and graphic design programs such as Photoshop and Paint is also an advantage. Proficiency in Microsoft Office-based programs including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and particularly Excel is required. Initiative, good communication skills, resourcefulness and extreme attention to detail are essential. Basic knowledge about the golf industry and its leading companies/stakeholders will help distinguish the very best candidates. Bachelor’s degree preferred. Summary Description:

Responsible for managing a busy and complex schedule of marketing campaigns for a wide variety of NGF clients. Responsible for fulfilling email marketing campaigns and other digital marketing products offered to NGF clients. Performs various client campaign duties including campaign scheduling, report creation, vendor communications, ad trafficking and customer service.

Principal Responsibilities:

  1. Determines scheduling instructions and creates audience lists for multiple client campaigns, each day, using a query-based software program. A major part of this role will be planning and delivering email marketing campaigns end-to-end.
  2. Management and support of digital advertising products (paid display, paid social, paid search, etc.) with tasks including campaign scheduling, programming and execution. Other duties include the monitoring and reporting of client metrics/results and monthly accounting of revenue recognition.
  3. Delivery of post-campaign performance reports for NGF clients with ability to provide basic analysis when appropriate. Track and report on KPI’s for NGF clients, with the ability to gleam insights from software provided reporting tools.
  4. Email campaign set-up, testing and deployment using email marketing software, particularly in the busiest marketing periods of the year (Golf Majors, Father’s Day, Holiday, etc.)
  5. Assists in the cleaning and onboarding of new-to-file opt-in records to the NGF database. Works to further enhance existing database records with new targeting data.
  6. Monitor email deliverability performance across major ESPs including Gmail, Yahoo, Apple, Comcast, etc. and make necessary adjustments to campaign list/audience selections.
  7. Develops creative assets such as email templates, display ads for social media and programmatic advertising, basic video editing skills, and content creation.
  8. Posting of content to American Golf Census Facebook and Twitter pages.
  9. Request creative assets from NGF client and Agency clients.
  10. Assist with subject line and copy needs for client campaigns.

Experience:

Minimum 2 years working in a marketing or administrative support role for a company(s) operating in a B2B environment.

Education Level:

Bachelor’s degree preferred

Skills:

Proficiency with marketing software such as Acoustic, Mail Chimp, Klaviyo, StackAdapt, Meta/Facebook, TikTok, Twitter, Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, Hootsuite/Sprout Social/Buffer. Mastery of Microsoft Office-based programs including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and particularly Excel. But NGF is more than just a 501c6 trade group. From a marketing research perspective, we operate “in the trenches” with many of golf’s most powerful and innovative companies. About the Position

NGF is seeking a highly-motivated Director, Client Insights & Strategy to lead in all dimensions of the market research process and deliver top-grade, data-driven insights and strategies to our diverse clientele across a vast and growing golf industry (and beyond!). This person will passionately drive a culture of curiosity and thought leadership, always looking for ways to expand the reach, impact and value of NGF’s private research business.

As Director, Client Insights & Strategy, you’ll be expected to:

• Work both independently and collaboratively to manage and execute a portfolio of client insights assignments that range in scope, approach and complexity
• Nurture existing client relationships through proactive communication, exceptional service and value-adding benefits
• Help develop new strategic and consultative client relationships by positioning yourself, and our team, as a valuable resource and thought leader in the field
• Take a leading role in conceptualizing, designing and communicating client insights deliverables
• Proactively explore new and improved techniques that elevate our work and improve efficiency
• Contribute to the broader organization by establishing what “best in class” looks like when it comes to research, insights generation and storytelling

To be successful, candidates should have the following:

• Mobility to be based in Jupiter, Florida
• 5+ years in a relevant insights leadership role (supplier-side experience is a plus)
• Expertise in quantitative and qualitative research methods, including certain advanced techniques like conjoint analysis and segmentation
• Proven success managing a portfolio of complex insights projects
• A track record of delivering compelling outputs and narratives on time and on budget
• Ability (and inclination) to synthesize diverse data sources, including surveys, open-source data, social media analysis, and/or competitive intelligence, to uncover nuanced trends and hidden opportunities for clients, and to deliver more well-rounded, contextualized perspectives
• Familiarity/experience with survey tools (Qualtrics is a plus)
• Familiarity/experience with data visualization tools (Tableau is a plus)
• Familiarity/experience with insights community platforms is a plus

Compensation & Benefits

Base Salary: $90,000-$120,000
