Membership Associate – National Golf Foundation, founded in 1936 and located in Jupiter, provides market information and insights to the golf industry. Seeking a person with the unique ability to provide knowledge-based customer service and consultative sales combined with the administrative skills to provide account management and excellent record keeping. This position requires passion, initiative, effective communication skills, and attention to detail. Candidates need experience in Word, Excel and Access. Golf knowledge a plus. Summary Description

Responsible for delivering an exceptional experience resulting in satisfying and retaining existing members, while creating the opportunity for attracting new members. The Membership Associate position includes collection and processing of monetary transactions, assisting members with their business and membership account needs, building a professional relationship with members, and always representing the NGF in a positive and professional manner. In addition, the Membership Associate will provide regular administrative support for marketing, as well as Welcome2Golf (NGF’s golf player development education initiative).

Principal Responsibilities:

· Customer service and sales to existing members

· Enroll new members, set up passwords

· Assist incoming callers with information requests

· Manage daily correspondence, enter payments and update records and activity in CRM system

· Handle and/or coordinate response to emails or web inquiries from members & non-members

· Make sales retention calls and send retention emails to recently lapsed members for renewals

· Make phone calls and send emails to NGF non-member leads in efforts to convert them into members

· Administer email marketing campaigns, including creating, testing, and follow-up (stats and converted leads)

· Assist with NGF’s player development initiative, Welcome2Golf (W2G), by providing administrative duties which include but not limited to, assisting with the creation of marketing and education materials, ordering and shipping marketing materials, participating in training of W2G instructors, attend brain-storming sessions, other responsibilities as needed.

· Assist with planning, scheduling, travels, and shipping of materials and equipment for NGF’s Annual Symposium, PGA Show, Golf Industry Show, and other conventions and other NGF events.

  • Read golf business industry journals/magazines/online articles to learn/stay updated on companies/executives/other news in to keep our records current and develop new prospects
  • Manage the media inquiry/fulfillment log, as well as management of other email inboxes (member, general, fax)
  • Assist with other administrative duties and special projects as needed

Recommended Qualifications (Education & Skills):

Bachelor’s degree preferred. Proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint), as well as experience with database management software programs. Must possess exceptional oral and written communication skills. Must be able to interact with a wide range of clients. Knowledge of the game of golf highly recommended.

Business Contacts: Existing clients and prospective clients: golf facility and business personnel, allied associations, vendors, NGF senior staff
