Golf Destinations and Golfer Proximity
Which U.S. golf destinations have the highest concentration of golfers within a 500-mile radius? Given Myrtle Beach's location along the Eastern seaboard, relatively close to several metropolitan areas, it has more than three times as many golfers within this zone as a remote golf resort like Bandon Dunes. While all the points on the map to the right are popular golf destinations, this 500-mile proximity took on greater importance in 2020 given that the vast majority were within driving distance.
