Sr. Account Manager, Client Services

Position Description

The Sr. Account Manager, Client Services is responsible for business development and selling NGF Direct and Agency marketing solutions (Direct-to-Consumer and B2B email campaigns, digital marketing (paid search, paid social, programmatic, custom audiences, etc.) and public relations. Primary focus will be to generate revenue by developing a loyal account base through new customer acquisition. Target verticals include a wide range of B2C and B2B golf product and service providers, golf travel and tourism businesses, and non-endemic companies interested in reaching the affluent golf consumer market.

The Sr. Account Manager’s pathway to success is through pro-active and disciplined outreach that results in earning expert advisor status and trusted, professional working relationships with clients and prospects. This individual is prepared for every call and brings value to each prospect. He/she will blend skillfully asked questions and careful listening skills to collaboratively solve the client’s marketing challenges with proven media, communications, and data solutions. Must be able to bring the intellect, authenticity and credibility to connect well with both C-suite and product manager-level decision makers and communicate NGF’s unique value proposition using a truly consultative, “recoil-free” style.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree with 10+ years sales experience ideally working with or for a media company, advertising and/or marketing agency specializing in small to medium size companies
  • A strong track record of consistent revenue growth, as well as and successful management of a book of business
  • Experience developing a new territory including lead generation and cold calling
  • Effective time/travel management skills
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal relationship building skills

 

Technical Marketing Specialist

Summary Description

Responsible for managing a busy and complex schedule of marketing campaigns for a wide variety of NGF clients. Responsible for fulfilling email marketing campaigns and other digital marketing products offered to NGF clients.  Performs various client campaign duties including campaign scheduling, report creation, vendor communications, ad trafficking and customer service.

Principal Responsibilities

(In Priority Order)

  1. Determines scheduling instructions and creates audience lists for multiple client campaigns, each day, using a query-based software program. A major part of this role will be planning and delivering email marketing campaigns end-to-end.
  2. Management and support of digital advertising products (paid display, paid social, paid search, etc.) with tasks including campaign scheduling, programming and execution. Other duties include the monitoring and reporting of client metrics/results and monthly accounting of revenue recognition.
  3. Delivery of post-campaign performance reports for NGF clients with ability to provide basic analysis when appropriate. Track and report on KPI’s for NGF clients, with the ability to gleam insights from software provided reporting tools.
  4. Email campaign set-up, testing and deployment using email marketing software, particularly in the busiest marketing periods of the year (Golf Majors, Father’s Day, Holiday, etc.)
  5. Assists in the cleaning and onboarding of new-to-file opt-in records to the NGF database. Works to further enhance existing database records with new targeting data.
  6. Monitor email deliverability performance across major ESPs including Gmail, Yahoo, Apple, Comcast, etc. and make necessary adjustments to campaign list/audience selections.
  7. Develops creative assets such as email templates, display ads for social media and programmatic advertising, basic video editing skills, and content creation.
  8. Posting of content to American Golf Census Facebook and Twitter pages.
  9. Request creative assets from NGF client and Agency clients.
  10. Assist with subject line and copy needs for client campaigns.

Experience/Education Requirements

Experience: Minimum 2 years working in a marketing or administrative support role for a company(s) operating in a B2B environment.

Education Level: Bachelor’s degree preferred

Skills: Proficiency with marketing software such as Acoustic, Mail Chimp, Klaviyo, StackAdapt, Meta/Facebook, TikTok, Twitter, Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, Hootsuite/Sprout Social/Buffer. Mastery of Microsoft Office-based programs including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and particularly Excel. Basic knowledge of HTML design and graphic design programs (Photoshop, Paint, Canva, etc.) Initiative, good communication skills, resourcefulness and extreme attention to detail are required. Basic knowledge about the golf industry and its leading companies/stakeholders is recommended.
