Female Golf Participation Trend

In each of the past three years (2020, 2021 and 2022), the number of female on-course golf participants in the U.S. topped 6 million. Prior to this stretch, the last time that had happened was in 2007. Since dipping to 5 million in 2012 following the Great Recession, the number of women and girls playing golf on a course has risen 28% in just over a decade. The net increase has been upwards of 800,000 over the past three years, with about half of that gain from junior golfers.
