Geographic Impact on 2022 Rounds

After a slower start to 2022 from a play perspective -- rounds were down about 10% YOY at the end of April -- the summer months yielded a notable recovery. The early-season lag was due in large part to unfavorable golf weather in well-supplied regions like the Northeast and parts of the Midwest, where spring rounds took a bit of a hit. At the end of August, rounds trailed 2021's record pace by only 2.6%.
