NGF’s 2022 GolfSAT Award Winners

The National Golf Foundation is pleased to recognize The Jewel Golf Club in Minnesota and Sand Creek Station Golf Course in Kansas as winners of NGF’s 20th annual GolfSAT Customer Satisfaction Awards.

The GolfSAT platform, used by more than 1,000 U.S. golf facilities since its inception, is a golfer satisfaction survey that enables participating courses to compare satisfaction measures against benchmarks of similarly-priced properties nationwide. GolfSAT provides operators with feedback on the overall customer golf experience, from course conditioning, pricing, pace of play, service and more, to the likelihood that golfers will recommend that course to others.

The Jewel, a Hale Irwin-design nestled in the Mississippi River valley grand bluffs of Lake City southeast of Minneapolis, earned the top ranking in the premium public course category (peak green fee of $70 or more).

Sand Creek Station, located outside Wichita and host of the USGA’s final U.S. Amateur Public Links Championship ever held in 2014, was recognized for the 13th time as the nation’s No. 1 standard and/or value course (peak green fee of under $70) in overall customer loyalty. Three other facilities also operated by KemperSports, including two less than five miles apart in Wisconsin, were runners-up in the standard/value category.

NGF’s GolfSAT allows golf course operators to evaluate ongoing satisfaction at their facility, enables management companies to compare results across a portfolio of courses, and helps marketing directors create programs, services and promotions based on the results. Participating courses can control how long a survey runs, implement changes as feedback comes in, and even include custom questions.
