Since 1958, Wadsworth has built some of the finest courses in the game across all types of climates and terrain. Company founder, Brent Wadsworth was a golf course architect but decided to leave that career to focus on the specialized aspects of building the world’s best golf courses. From the beginning, the company has earned a reputation for integrity, service, and quality of workmanship that is unsurpassed in the industry.
Wadsworth Golf Construction Company has built over 750 golf courses in 44 states over the past six decades while restoring or renovating hundreds more.

The Wadsworth Golf Construction Company has teamed up with many of the world’s leading architects and developers to help create and enhance some of the greatest venues for golf. Some championship caliber golf projects include Valhalla Golf Club, host of three PGA Championships and the Ryder Cup; TPC San Antonio, host of the Valero Texas Open; Innisbrook Golf Resort, host of the Valspar Championship; and Shadow Creek Golf Course in Las Vegas, host of several celebrity and professional events.
The Wadsworth Golf Construction Company has also created or modified more than 40 municipal and military golf courses. Public golf course renovation included working with Tom Weiskopf to improve the highly acclaimed Torrey Pines North Course and construction of the new course designed by Beau Welling at the PGA of America’s new home in Frisco, Texas.
Wadsworth has been successful in hiring and retaining some of the most skilled operators and laborers in the golf course construction industry. With project managers that average around 30 years of company experience, Wadsworth has been able to focus on delivering the highest quality products to their customers.
The Wadsworth Golf Construction Company also runs a charity foundation which was founded by Brent Wadsworth in 1997. The Wadsworth Golf Charities Foundation is dedicated to improving communities through the embodiment of the moral, ethical, and cultural codes of the game of golf. The foundation has contributed over $6 million in grants to projects and programs that help provide access to kids, adults, handicapped individuals, and veterans that may not have previously been provided an opportunity to enjoy the game. The Foundation remains focused on improving society through the embodiment of the moral, ethical, and cultural codes of the game.
KEY TAKEAWAYS
Over sixty years of experience in the golf construction industry has led to a wealth of problem-solving construction techniques for the Wadsworth. Additionally, their experience means that jobs are completed on time and within budget.
While the Wadsworth Golf Construction Company was busy during the industry’s building boom, which saw almost 5,000 new courses built between 1986 and 2005, it has remained active, as some of the facilities from that era are now undertaking significant restoration projects. Many of these upgrades incorporate new technologies, including modern irrigation systems and drainage, as well as tree removal, green restorations, and the addition of more teeing grounds.
Fortnight.
