The NGF has surveyed Americans regarding golf participation every year since 1986 and provides the most comprehensive overview of engagement available within the industry. This annual report provides the latest data on on-course golfers, including detailed information on segments such as beginners, women, non-Caucasian, juniors and a closer look at the growing pool of non-golfers who say they’re very interested in playing the game now (latent demand). Also included is data on off-course only participation such as golf entertainment venues like Topgolf and Drive Shack, in indoor simulators or at driving ranges. Regional profiles within the U.S. provide participation rates, number of golfers, and average and total rounds-played.
