Golf Course Reconstruction Projects – P5Y

While new course openings are relatively limited, there have been more than 400 major reconstruction projects over the past five years in the U.S. -- many of them yielding, in essence, a brand new course. Florida has seen 27% of these major renovations, which require a minimum of nine holes to be closed for at least three months. And while Florida has the nation’s richest golf supply (8% of the U.S. total), the state has had a much higher proportion of major renovation efforts.
