Short courses have accounted for almost 40% of new course development over the past decade — Par 3 layouts accounting for the majority of those — with a number of highly-visible examples at resort properties. And yet Par 3 courses represent just 5% of overall supply, with closures over the past two decades than closings among regulation-length courses.
