Cobra Puma Golf is a leading manufacturer of innovative, game-changing golf equipment, along with stylish, high-performance golf apparel, footwear, and accessories.

In 1973 Cobra Golf was founded by Australian amateur golf champ Thomas Crow. In the time since, Cobra Golf has become known for its innovation designed to improve the game of players at every level. From forgiving woods and irons for the casual player to tour-tested equipment that helps golfers perform at the highest level for nearly four decades.

Cobra-Puma Golf joined forces in 2010 when the parent company, Puma AG, purchased Cobra Golf as a means to leverage the Puma Golf line of footwear, apparel, and accessories designs with Cobra’s advanced equipment. In that time, the two brands have continued to be leaders in the industry with large presence among PGA Tour professionals and amateurs alike.

Over 30 years ago, Cobra pioneered the popular Baffler fairway wood technology that revolutionized how golfers played long approach shots and set the standard for Cobra product development — with two rails on the bottom of the club face that help guide the club through the turf for more consistent contact. Among its more recent technological advancements stands the LTDx Driver lineup. Building on the 2016 LTD series, the LTDx family of drivers utilizes PWR-COR technology and machine learning to engineer a club that maximizes both ball speed and forgiveness.

PUMA Golf, a brand with a more abbreviated history, was founded in 2005 and excels in sport and lifestyle positioning, fusing technology with industry-leading fashion and delivering apparel.

Athletic endorsements have played a key role in the brand’s rise, most notably with Rickie Fowler, Lexi Thompson, Bryson DeChambeau, long drive champion Kyle Berkshire and, most recently, Gary Woodland. All are popular players in the sport with unique marketing appeal.

Cobra also has a long history of brand partnerships beginning in 1991 with Hall of Fame golfer Greg Norman, who was instrumental in developing the first Cobra forged irons.

In continuation of the company’s aggressive endorsement strategy, 2022 saw Cobra sign 12-year-old Xeve Perez, who racked up 250 junior tournament wins in the previous three years, to the brand’s first name-image-likeness (NIL) deal.

“Xeve’s personality, talent, and love for the game is inspiring, and we’re thrilled to welcome him to the Cobra Puma Golf family,” said Dan Ladd, president, and GM of Cobra Puma Golf. “He is a fantastic talent and role model, which aligns with our mission to push the game forward and inspire the next generation of golfers. We’re excited to be part of his journey.”
