Surges in Play
Amid 2020's increases in YOY play, 36 states surpassed the national average of +13.9%. Iowa and Missouri had the biggest jumps, but were followed closely by states such as Oklahoma, Indiana and the Dakotas (+24%); Kentucky, Tennessee and Minnesota (+23%) and Oregon (+22%). New York, Texas, Colorado, Idaho, Wyoming, Montana, Utah, Kansas, Nebraska and Wisconsin also saw YOY increases of 20% or more. South Carolina and Nevada were the only states in the continental U.S. to experience decreases in play in 2020.
