Eric Recher, Director of Marketing

Fujikura Composites America was established in 1995 and has since been a leader in the golf shaft industry. The company offers a direct resource for OEMs as well as after-market shafts to general consumers.

In 1998 Fujikura Composites America introduced the Speeder 757 to the PGA Tour and preceded to take the golf world by storm. Fujikura soon took over as the No. 1 driver, wood, and hybrid shaft which was the beginning of a long streak.

As the first shaft to utilize premium advanced materials, the Speeder led to a popularity surge for the industry, paving the way for future products, as it helped create a new market for premium shafts. For the past two decades, Fujikura has continued to be a top choice for Tour pros globally.

In 2019, Fujikura launched it popular VENTUS line, which is designed to significantly tighten shot dispersion and maximize ball speed. A Tour-inspired profile, VENTUS was the first to include Fujikura’s all-new VeloCore Technology in an accelerated taper, ultra-stiff tip profile.

Three new profiles were added to the VENTUS line in 2022, including the introduction of VENTUS TR that compliments and enhances one of the most successful and most-trusted shaft line-ups in Fujikura history.

For the past decade, Fujikura has utilized ENSO Technology, a proprietary 3D motion capture fitting system in the design process.

The first club fitting system that measures information both before and after the ball is hit, ENSO dynamically measures and records the club and shaft throughout the entire swing. Rather than trial and error, Fujikura uses science, engineering, and technology to create the best product possible and bring it directly to the consumer.

As Fujikura looks to the future, it’s focused on ensuring golfers, from pros to amateurs, have the best equipment and best fit to help them play to the best of their abilities. The company remains as dedicated to developing the industry’s next advancement in shaft technology as it was 20 years ago.

Fujikura also supports Folds of Honor, a partnership that has helped fund four full scholarships (every year since 2014) for family members of U.S. military men and women who have died or been disabled in combat.

KEY TAKEAWAYS

Fujikura has been a consistent name in the market of premium golf shafts in the United State since the iconic Speeder was released in the late 1990s. That relevance continues today, helping position Fujikura as unquestionably one of the top shaft companies in golf.
