Founded in 1971 by Roy H. Rogers, family-owned and -run R&R Products is the world’s leading manufacturer of replacement parts for the turf and commercial golf industries.
While not well-known to golfers, chances are that many rounds of golf have, in some way, included a link to R&R. The Tucson, Arizona-based company currently has a line of more than 25,000 replacement parts, golf course accessories, irrigation, safety and tools — after starting humbly with fewer than 100 over five decades ago.
The control R&R has over its line of replacement parts is unequalled in the industry, with computerized numeric controlled lathes and mills for precision machining, punch presses, a state-of-the-art laser cutting center as well as five heat treating systems for complete control of the temper on all blades. In all, R&R’s modern manufacturing and automated warehousing facilities encompass over 300,000 square feet.
The extensive line of products and parts is wide-ranging. Along with manufacturing commercial golf course accessories, including sand trap rakes, sprinkler cap yardage markers, ball washers, flagsticks, range mats, and golf club cleaners, R&R also sells a full line of turf products and power equipment (made by other manufacturers like Briggs & Stratton, Kubota, and Husqvarna). In addition, the company also purveys safety equipment like chemical distribution cans, storage cabinets, and safety wear.
KEY TAKEAWAYS
The Rogers family’s touches at R&R say a great deal about the company, as Roy’s children (Carol, Don, and Tom) and grandson (Brian) have run the 275-employee+ business since their father’s passing in 2003.
Such familial pride extends to its wares, as R&R maintains a sales philosophy of offering high-end products at fair prices, along with having their items in stock at all times for immediate delivery.
The company’s 300,000-square-foot manufacturing and warehouse facilities include modern and impressive oversight of its products, featuring computerized, numeric controlled lathes and mills for precision machining, punch presses, and state-of-the-art laser cutting.
Fortnight.
