National Golf Foundation (NGF) President & CEO Greg Nathan will present the organization’s annual State-of-the-Industry update at the 2026 PGA Merchandise Show in Orlando, Florida, offering fresh data and insight on the health and momentum of the U.S. golf economy.
Nathan’s presentation, “2026 State of the Golf Business – How Sustainable and Resilient is our Industry?” will be delivered live on the Main Stage at the Orange County Convention Center on Thursday, Jan. 22, at 9:30 a.m. ET. This content is as close as it gets to “required reading” for anyone who works in the golf industry.
Drawing from NGF’s latest research and perspective outlined in the 2026 Graffis Report, the session will highlight how participation and play continue to demonstrate remarkable sustainability. NGF data shows that more Americans are engaging with golf, both on traditional courses and through an expanding ecosystem of off-course and alternative formats, reinforcing the game’s position as a leading social, wellness, and outdoor recreation activity.
One of the industry’s foremost experts on the golf economy, Nathan will also address how sustained record rounds played activity and a more balanced supply & demand environment are contributing to a resilient and optimistic outlook for facilities, OEMs, suppliers, retailers, and the broader golf business. The presentation underscores that recent growth is not a short-term spike owed to the COVID-19 pandemic, but part of a longer-term, lifestyle-driven shift that has made golf more accessible, inclusive, and economically sound.
NGF’s annual State-of-Industry address has become a must-attend event at the PGA Show, valued for its objective analysis and forward-looking perspective on where the game stands — and where it is headed.
Outside the Main Stage presentation, the NGF team will be in room W207A at the Convention Center to connect with industry partners, share insights on the game, and celebrate our 90th anniversary supporting and growing golf.
