August 2025 National Rounds Played
Posted: September 26, 2025

August rounds of golf saw the biggest year-over-year jump of any month this year at +7.7%, pushing the industry slightly ahead of the record-setting play pace set in 2024.

Rounds were up in all eight geographic regions during the final month of the summer, including noteworthy gains in the supply-rich Mid Atlantic (New Jersey, New York and Pennsylvania) and South Atlantic (Carolinas, Florida, Georgia and Virginia) regions.

The biggest previous year-over-year jump in play for 2025 was approximately +4% in March.

With four months remaining, rounds are trending 1.4% ahead of the same point in 2024, when a record number of rounds were played at U.S. golf facilities.
