September 2025 National Rounds Played
Posted: October 30, 2025

September rounds of golf were up nearly 2% on a national level over the same period a year ago, keeping the U.S. golf market slightly ahead of the record-setting play pace set in 2024.

The most noteworthy increases during the final month of golf’s peak season were in the Southern-most and Western-most regions. Rounds were up about 9% in the South Atlantic, more than 3% in the South Central, and almost 5% in the Pacific region.

Georgia (+16%) and Florida (+13%) were among the biggest risers at the state level, aided in part by slightly cooler average temperatures than the summer months and a notable year-over-year decline in precipitation.

With just October, November and December rounds to account for, cumulative play at golf courses nationwide is still trending 1.4% ahead of the same point in 2024, when a record number of rounds were played at U.S. golf facilities.
